According to the Duxbury Police Department, on September 14th, at approximately 12:20 a.m., authorities responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash into a tree on Harrison Street. Maddie, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was found unresponsive and had to be extricated using the jaws of life. She was then airlifted to a hospital, but tragically, she succumbed to her injuries two days later, on September 16th.The police have stated that the investigation into the crash is ongoing, and they have expressed their deepest condolences to Maddie's friends and family. A Community Rallies to Support the Family

A Meal Train fundraiser has been established to help the family, and as of September 18th, it had already raised over ,000.
